The Australian Energy Council is the peak industry body for electricity and downstream natural gas businesses operating in the competitive wholesale and retail energy markets. AEC members generate and sell energy to 10 million homes and businesses and are major investors in renewable energy generation.

How many solar jobs are there in Australia?

The study found that more than a third of renewable energy jobs in 2019 were in the small-scale solar segment, with 37 per cent of the clean energy workforce involved in installing solar on the rooftops of Australian homes and businesses.
