There are two different mechanisms in our coin-operated locker locks for you to choose from.

How do coin lockers work?
For the oldest coin lockers, simply place your belongings in it, insert the coins ( only 100 yen coins) in the slot provided, close the door, and turn and remove the key, which you have to keep with you. The more modern coin lockers work a little differently: everything is done via a touch screen situated in the middle of the lockers.
What locks do you use for a coin return locker?
Our coin return lockers are fitted with Lowe & Fletcher locks which will accept new and old style £1 coins. The new £1 coins will be introduced in March 2017 which will replace the old circle style £1 coin. These locks will return the coins when the door is opened by the user, this offers simple operation for multiple users.
How to open a keyless Coin Locker?
1. Check locker number, insert key all the way in. 2. Insert excess fee (in 100-yen coins) as indicated above keyhole. 3. Hold door, turn key to the right, and open. With keyless coin lockers, the touch panel is often available in English, Chinese, and Korean in addition to Japanese. 1. Select “Deposit” (預け入れ) on the touch panel.
