How long does it take to solder a module?

In total, it took only two months. It showed that cold solder joints were present in 5% of the modules. Nobody had any idea that the situation was so serious. Cold solder joints occur when the temperature during the soldering process is not high enough, and they are difficult to see with the naked eye.

Why do solar panels crack?

This led to extremely brittle solar cells prone to crack from any forceful impact. When microcracks form in a solar panel, the affected solar cells will have trouble conducting electric currents, which lead to poor energy production and hot spots.
